Healing Ministry

Thursdays, 6:00 p.m.
Trinity Sanctuary

Are any among you suffering? They should pray. Are any cheerful? They should sing songs of praise. Are any among you sick? They should call for the elders of the church and have them pray over them, anointing them with oil in the name of the Lord. (James 5:13-14)

As Christians, we believe that God’s will for us is abundance and fullness of life. But that is not always our reality. Many of us experience brokenness—of body, mind, or spirit; in our relationships, and in the world. God also knows our suffering, and promises to be with us in our pain as well as in our joy.

While we know that with God nothing is impossible, it is important to understand that HEALING can be different from CURING. Physical and other suffering may still exist following healing prayer, but Christians trust that God is at work even in such conditions. This is precisely why our symbol is a cross—a sign of God’s presence in the midst of pain. Very often healing might look like increased faith in God or a new empowerment to love and serve others, though external circumstances may appear unchanged. Sometimes the very thing that caused our brokenness can be transformed into a unique gift.

Trinity offers a weekly healing service at our Thursday evening “Weekday Worship.” During these services, all who wish to receive the laying on of hands and anointing with oil for healing are invited to do so.

School for Christian Healing and Spiritual Enrichment

The mission of The Center For Inner Peace is to be “a center for inner peace, Christian healing and spiritual enrichment for all people.”

To carry out this mission, the Center has developed the School for Christian Healing and Spiritual Enrichment to equip people with the tools and spirituality for healing prayer ministry. The sessions are led by Rev. Paul Feider who is nationally known for his work in spiritual direction, healing prayer, and scripture study. Fr. Paul’s newest book, “Resting in the Heart” is a resource for healing ministry and is the main text for The School.

The purpose of The School is to offer a place for instruction and support for people of all denominations who seek to carry on the healing ministry of Jesus in their local communities. It is a spiritual and instructional journey that consists of teaching and small group sharing. This is a powerful, life changing event.

See our Upcoming Events page for other events proclaiming God’s healing power.
