Located on 50 scenic acres of national park in Marine on Saint Croix, Dunrovin’s beautiful wooded grounds are a peaceful, yet professional, setting for group meetings, private getaways, youth or adult groups, and day or overnight retreats.

About Us

Who is Dunrovin?

Situated in the national park of the St. Croix National Scenic Riverway, Dunrovin Christian Brothers Retreat Center offers excellent facilities for youth and adults.

We provide a quiet space for retreats, meetings, conferences, Roman Catholic youth camps, and team building events.  In the midst of God’s creation, our cozy buildings and friendly staff will take care of all your needs.

Four buildings located on the premises are available for rent by groups or individuals: the Retreat Center, Francis Cottage, River Cabin, and North Woods Cabin.

What is available?

• Linens (sheets, blankets, pillows, towels, and washcloths) are provided unless group leaders choose otherwise.
• A refrigerator, microwave, toaster, and coffee maker/hot water dispenser are available in each building.
• People with special diets will be accommodated if they speak with our staff beforehand about how we can meet their needs.
• Wireless internet is available.

What can we do?

• We provide supplies for numerous outdoor activities including canoes, kayaks, a rope swing, water slide, soccer field with nets, outdoor basketball court, volleyball court, and two fire rings for bonfires.
• A hiking path skirts the perimeter of the entire property, including along the St. Croix River, providing more than a mile of wooded trail.
• William O’Brien State Park is located five miles to the north of us, with the quaint town of Marine on St. Croix two miles away.  Only ten miles to the south, Stillwater is the birthplace of Minnesota and lively place for tourism of all kinds such as apple orchards, wine vineyards, art exhibits, shopping, and fine dining.

Personal Retreats

The serene setting of Dunrovin invites people to pray, reflect, read, write, and rest during a personal retreat.  The scenic grounds, a small prayer chapel, and a small library are open for use to all private retreatants.

Private retreats are self-directed.  Spiritual Direction and Life Coaching are available from Director Jerome Meeds, Certified Life Coach.

You may cook your own meals in the Saint Francis Cottage, River Cabin, and the North Woods Cabin.  If you desire to eat meals prepared for larger guest groups renting the Retreat Center, please ask when calling to request a retreat date.  We will do our best to accommodate your needs.

• Single rooms: Twin bed, desk, sink & mirror, glider chair, some with view of pond

Saint Francis Cottage

• Cozy atmosphere with stone fireplace,
• Two bedrooms: one with a double bed and one with two twin beds
• Dining/living room, full kitchen and full bathroom

River Cabin

• Set apart from the main Retreat Center, a quiet repose near the St. Croix River
• Stone fireplace and comfy leather couches
• One queen bed and one twin bed
• Full kitchen and full bathroom

North Woods Cabin

• Set apart from the main Retreat Center, a quiet repose near the St. Croix River
• One queen bed
• Enclosed porch
• Full bathroom
• Kitchen with microwave, refrigerator, toaster, coffee pot (no sink)
