Mission
The St. John Neumann Center is a Roman Catholic retreat center at the service of the universal call to holiness. Our Mission is to provide a place of prayer, hospitality, rest, and renewal where persons come to reflect on the things that really matter: God’s Word, the Most Holy Eucharist, and the love of God and neighbor. Our spiritual mission also engages people from other Christian traditions in keeping with the principles of an authentically Catholic approach to ecumenism.
The love of God the Father, the mercy of Jesus the Son, and the Wisdom of the Holy Spirit are central to the spirit of the Neumann Center. We rely on the love of the Blessed Virgin Mary, the care of Saint Joseph, and the intercession of all of the saints, especially Saint John Neumann, to bring us closer to God.
Retreats
What Is A Retreat?
It is a time one takes to focus on his/her journey with God. Reading scripture, reflecting on God’s word, prayer, and faith response are integral parts of this time. The period of time (a day, weekend, or week) will be determined by the individual seeking spiritual growth.
Private & Directed Retreats
In an individually Directed Retreat, the retreat director and retreatant meet daily to discern God’s call and what faith response can be made to that call. In Private Retreats, the individual spends time in prayer and reflection without the guidance of a retreat director.
Group Retreats, Days of Recollection and Meetings
St. John Neumann Retreat Center welcomes Roman Catholic groups for retreats, days of prayer, and meetings. Reservations must be made at least one month in advance.
